Fox Valley Equine practice serves clients within a 35-mile radius of the practice office in LaFox, IL. We serve back-yard barns to large boarding facilities, Miniature Horses to Clydesdales, pleasure horses to equine athletes, newborn foals to senior horses.

Established in 1990, by Dr. David Heinze, Fox Valley Equine Practice is dedicated to providing the best field medicine available for clients and their horses.  Our mobile practice provides lameness evaluations, state-of-the-art diagnostics, reproductive services, preventative care, emergency services, surgery, dentistry, chiropractic, pre-purchase exams and cutting-edge medicine.

Fox Valley Equine wishes to be part of a team that includes owners, trainers, farriers, stable managers, caretakers and referral hospitals.

Fox Valley Equine Practice Welcomes Dr. Paige Billek

Dr. Paige Billek, DVM is a 2018 graduate of the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. During her time at I.S.U., she worked closely with equine field service veterinarians. She participated in a trip to provide hands-on veterinary care at the Crow Creek Indian Reserve. She was also a participant in the FVEP Vet Shadowing Program during her years in vet school.

Dr. Billek’s passion lies with integrative veterinary medicine. She traveled to China to study veterinary acupuncture at Northwest A&F University. She holds the following certifications.

• Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA) certification from the Chi Institute

• Equine Veterinary Medical Manipulation (CVMMP) from the Integrative Veterinary Medical Institute.

• Certified Functional Movement Technique (FMT) Equine kinesiology Taping through RockTape

• Certified Equine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CERP), through the University of Tennessee

She is excited to integrate these modalities into her treatment plans to help horses feel and perform at their best.

Dr. Billek lives with her husband Evan, in Elgin. She enjoys spending her free time with her horses Candy and Stormy, and her cat Artemis.

Paige will be working closely with Dr. Heinze, Dr. Iverson and Dr. Stapleton in an internship role for her first 6 months.
